TO KNOW LA TESTE DE BUCH
The town of La Teste-de-Buch is one of the largest in France, with 26,000 hectares shared between the forest, the Lake of Cazaux, the Dune of Pilat, the Bassin d’Arcachon and the town.
Its territory comes directly from the old captalats of the Pays de Buch in the Middle Ages, the town of Arcachon was built on the commune before becoming an independent entity. Today, the commune consists of three districts:
